Our Story

Sustainable living is what we are all about. We have a love of nature, and use what she can provide to make the best of both worlds.

Living life to it's fullest and as naturally as possible. Living in zone 5, on top of a mountain in the beautiful forest, we have a shorter growing season. We have researched to find the shorter growing season fruits and vegetables to satisfy our sustainable living.

We grow and raise 90% of our own food, organically, and make several natural products. Our gardens are full of rich food, lots of color, and make our place paradise!

We have about 5000 varieties of iris (more or less). Of course not all are available each year, but you may want to start checking around March or April for listings of what may be available. Since our growing season is so short, and our iris are covered with snow for six months, we don't need to irrigate! The rhizomes may not be as large, but some can be! Our gardens are planted on hillsides, with narrow trails, so trekking through the gardens are not open to the public.

We have collected, raised, and virtually just hoarded iris for over 50 years! (That's not counting the generations before us!) Yes, it can be very addicting, but who doesn't like to go sit in a field of iris, smelling all the beauty that your eyes behold! We hope you can find that special iris that you either just want, or are collecting a specific collection!

Everything we offer is either grown by us, or made by us from our farm, right here in the USA.

Take your time to look, and enjoy. We really do try to have great customer service! Thank you for stopping by!
